Water and mountains, rivers and valleys, the Nalón river flows through the kingdom of capercaillies… Sobrescobio is a haven for those who cherish sustainable hunting, eco-conscious sports, and culinary delights.

Sobrescobio is an ideal place for ‘sustainable’ sportsmen and women, whether they enjoy walking routes, cycling or horse riding, or those who are in love with hunting…There are many routes that tourists can undertake in this mountainous territory, among others the Alba Route – which starts in Soto -, the Pico la Xamoca or the Roman Road, and many charming places such as the Torrexón de Villamoréi, the Rioseco Reservoir or the Campiellos Accessible Path.

Under the watchful eye of the Retriñón Peak, at an altitude of more than 1,800 metres, the Exemplary Village of 2009 goes about its daily life in the midst of nature, the same nature that makes its entire territory – with abundant farmhouses – belong to the Redes Natural Park and is therefore a Biosphere Reserve. With its capital in Rusecu/Rioseco, Sobrescobio is welcoming, environmentally sustainable and a reference point for gourmets who love tradition.
